'The program covered a vast variety of material ranging from blood typing to the digestive system. We learned a bit about every major body system and came away with a high level understanding of how it applied to us as humans. The teacher was amazing! She took the time to explain the material thoroughly, answer our questions completely and even gave personal accounts of what we were learning about so that we could see it in the ‘real world’. I liked everything about the program and teachers.'
'Through well-made powerpoints, great teaching and plenty of dissections I was able to learn a lot of new things about the body that I did not know before. My teacher was great. She had a lot of knowledge about everything that she taught and was able to easily clarify any questions that we had. Additionally, she had a lot of enthusiasm for what she was teaching which made learning more fun. I like dissecting the full fetal pig. I liked the cow heart dissection the entire day we learned about the circulatory systems."
'I learned a lot about the different systems that make up the insides of our body. My teacher was very nice and respectful about letting us do only what we felt comfortable doing. Also, she taught very well and was super approachable. I liked dissections because it was hands-on and a nice transition from the notes to real life.'
'...I thought it was helpful that we learned about human anatomy first and then put the information to use by dissecting organs that were similar to those of humans. I enjoyed the freedom of the program as well. I liked the teacher because she was knowledgeable and knew in-depth info about the subject.'
"The anatomy program involved dissections and learning the basic anatomy of body systems. The teacher was nice and had a sense of humor and she had experience and knew her subject very well. I enjoyed how hands-on the program was and how smoothly classes went because everyone wanted to be there. I also liked learning about human anatomy through lectures and videos and then applying that knowledge to the dissections."
"This program was very informative. I learned a lot about many different aspects of anatomy. My favorite parts were the various dissections that we completed. Our teacher Steve was great the entire week. He was very nice, helpful and informed."
"I loved anatomy! It was super hands-on and interesting, and an overall, very enriching experience as a whole. Melissa helped explain everything, and was very thorough in the lab and in the classroom. She allowed me to hone in on my dissection technique(s) and has helped me further my interest in medicine."
“The anatomy program was hands on and not hands on at the same time, which I loved. In the mornings, we were in the classroom taking notes, watching videos, and looking at presentations. In the afternoon we did dissections which were so cool! Mrs. Coulson was a great teacher who knew what she was doing. She explained and taught well. This week was really fun!”
“I really liked this program! I felt as though I learned a lot and I really enjoyed doing dissections because they were hands on and showed us what the anatomy really looked and felt like. This program was also different than the things I do at school, so I really felt like it gave me different information through different things.”
“I had a great experience and I learned a lot about anatomy that I would not have had the chance to learn about in school. It made me eager to learn more about the human body. It was a very fun class especially because we got hands-on experiences such as dissection.”
