    Overview

Think you want to be a doctor? This online summer intensive is designed and led by medical faculty and provides driven students the opportunity to work closely with medical students as they explore crucial facets of the medical school experience at one of the nation's leading medical schools - Tufts University School of Medicine.

This summer our popular Mini-Med School intensive is back, and you can choose to enroll in our on-campus or virtual version of the program. Mini-Med School is for driven students who are interested in medical school (or in other health professions). The program is an opportunity for you to study with one of the nation's leading medical schools - Tufts University School of Medicine - either on campus or from your home! Whether you choose to participate on-campus or online, your experience with Tufts this summer will start to prepare you for your future in the medical world.

The on-campus and virtual programs are taught by medical students and faculty, primarily from Tufts University. While the programs focus on infectious disease and immunology, other topics covered include surgery, diversity in medicine, anatomy, and career guidance.

On campus, field trips to the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Sciences as well as the Tufts University School of Medicine will include exercises highlighting the latest in surgical techniques and visits to the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center. In-person question and answer sessions with admissions staff, medical doctors, doctors from other health professions, and medical students will help you get a feel for medical school and the career options you have in medicine and related health sciences.

Virtually, working online in small groups with medical student TAs and hands-on labs you will do at home, you will begin to experience what it takes to study medical sciences. This program will provide you and other driven students the opportunity to participate in virtual lectures and explore crucial facets of the medical school experience. This program also includes virtual question and answer sessions with admissions staff, medical doctors, doctors from other health professions, and medical students will help you get a feel for medical school and the career options you have in medicine and related health sciences.
