    Overview

This program will dive into the surprisingly exciting possibilities of Microsoft Excel! High school students learn the fundamentals of digital information, how to present data compellingly and clearly, and the Excel skills and techniques they'll use time and time again. Upon completion of the program, they will be better prepared to pass Microsoft Office Specialist Certification, if they so choose.

Today, 82% of jobs ask for Microsoft Excel skills (or similar productivity software), making it one of the top technical skills desired by employers. Designed for both beginner to intermediate users, this hands-on program will teach you not only how to interpret and analyze data sets but also how to present data at a professional level. Through fun individual and team-based projects, you will become familiar with using formulas, functions, data validation, pivot tables, forms and more.

This program has not yet been scheduled for Summer 2023. If you are interested in learning more about this program, please be sure to "Request Info" and we'll get back to you as plans are made.

At the end of this program, you’ll walk away with:

    • A 360-degree understanding of how to input, proof and manipulate data within Excel and the confidence to use the most valuable features it provides
    • The knowledge and preparation to pursue a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (exam not included within this program)
    • A certificate of completion with a Quinnipiac instructor-written review and assessment
