Level up your Spanish skills and soak up the sun in Mallorca!

What better way to improve your Spanish than four weeks of language immersion on the paradisical island of Mallorca? Take language classes with local instructors and immerse yourself in Mallorcan culture and traditions during afternoon activities. Put your conversation skills to the test as you chat with local teens and stallholders at lively markets like the Mercado del Olivar, and order tapas, too. Soak up the sun along the shore and join a spirited beach volleyball tournament!

With your host family, build new Spanish vocabulary during conversations over meals and day-to-day family life. Excursions take you to the majestic mountain range of Serra de Tramuntana; the medieval town of Alcudia, located on the northern part of the island; and the La Victoria natural area, nestled in the Pollença Bay, with spectacular sea and mountain views. In Palma de Mallorca and other parts of this serene island, you’ll nurture your adventurous spirit outdoors, gain a greater grasp of Spanish, and enjoy a cultural experience you can’t get in the classroom!

My experience with the CIEE Spanish Language and Culture Program in Palma de Mallorca was overwhelmingly positive and truly transformative. Living with a welcoming host family allowed me to experience authentic Spanish culture, try new foods, and practice my language skills daily. Taking university-level Spanish classes deepened my understanding of the language while immersing me in an academic environment abroad. Beyond the classroom, cultural activities and excursions helped me connect with the island^aEURTMs history and people, creating lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. This program not only strengthened my Spanish but also gave me a new sense of independence and appreciation for global perspectives.
