Calling all Harry Potter readers, soccer fans, wannabe Beatles and cheese & crackers lovers: you can now live a full immersion in a British high school with CIEE!
Pack up your bags for a semester or a full academic year and settle in on the other side of the pond with a placement in a local high school and homestay.
Your adventure will start with a 4-day orientation in London, where you will meet other American exchange students and visit the main attractions from Piccadilly Circus, to Trafalgar Square, the Thames River, or the British Museum.
Once you reach your final destination, you will live the everyday life of a British teen at a day school. Students pick 3 to 4 core topics in the Language Arts, STEM, Creative or Vocational fields (travel/tourism, sports, engineering, health and social care, hair & beauty…), and add enrichment activities. Typically, Wednesday afternoons are left open for enrichment activities. Get ready for soccer tryouts, or sign up for clubs and activities!
Our network of public and private high schools spreads all over England, in both urban and rural areas, from beach towns in Southern England to big cities like Cambridge or Liverpool in Northern England, providing you access to a wide variety of experiences and facets of the British culture and lifestyle. If you have a set preference for a particular school or location, you can request it for an additional fee. Just let us know and we’ll work with you to make it happen!
Relax after school and on weekends with your new friends and family. Experience everything British life has to offer from cozy evenings cooking, to nature walks or trips to the local city center, shops, sights and festivals.
