What better way to learn about startups than to immerse yourself in the startup capital of Europe? Students who attend this 3-week CIEE Global Navigator program will receive more than 45 hours of instruction in global entrepreneurship principles and practices and gain hands-on experience in building, serving on, and managing project teams.

Go where the action is. Over the last decade, Berlin has become an entrepreneurial hub with one of the fastest growing startup scenes in the world. Its economy is based on high-tech firms and the service sector, encompassing a diverse range of creative industries, research facilities, media corporations, and convention venues.

This summer you could find yourself in the center of it all, working directly with small businesses and start-ups. From professionals in the field, you’ll learn what it takes to run a small service business in a competitive environment. You'll also meet local entrepreneurs of Berlin and see what goes into making a business a viable success.

During afternoons with your classmates, go to the East Side Gallery, take part in a street art tour or hop on a boat for a ride along the river Spree. Historic sites including the Berlin Wall and German Reichstag will be covered on group tours. On an overnight trip, you’ll explore Görlitz, a beautiful UNESCO heritage town by the Polish border.

You’ll live in dorms at the CIEE Global Institute, in the heart of the Kreuzberg district – one of Berlin’s trendiest neighborhoods. While all classes are taught in English, your daily explorations in Germany’s most multicultural and progressive city will provide lessons in themselves.

For three weeks, you’ll gain practical business skills while building global competence and perspective in a city that embraces change. Leave with the experience you’ll need to succeed on your own entrepreneurial journey.
