    Overview

A gap year in Milan, Florence, and Rome offers the right balance of structure and independence, allowing you to dive into Italian culture before diving into college.

Picture waking up in Italy, energized to study Italian, form lifelong friendships, and dream of the possibilities of your future, all while immersed in Southern Europe. Over twelve weeks, you'll live in three iconic cities—Milan, Florence, and Rome—each offering a unique perspective on Italian life.

Experience Milan, a hub of innovation and creativity, where contemporary design and fashion energize every corner. Next, discover Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, where cobblestone streets and frescoed chapels immerse you in art and tradition. Then step into Rome, a city where ancient ruins blend seamlessly into modern life.

With a cohort of peers and a dedicated program leader, explore regional cuisine and customs, participate in guided activities, and pursue an optional independent study or volunteer project in arts, sports, food, wildlife, service, or politics. You'll leave Italy with unforgettable memories and, most importantly, prepared for the future.
