This past summer I studied with CIEE in Kyoto on the Language and Culture Program. It was an amazing and wonderful I hope everyone can get the chance to partake in, leaving the program I gained so many memories, friends and skills. Before arriving in Japan, I knew no Japanese at all but after spending a month studying there I was able to develop basic conversation and reading skills. If worried about the cost, I would definitely recommend applying for the Global Navigator Scholarship as I was able to save a lot of money that way. Overall, one of my favorite experiences on the program was our day trip to Nara, and throughout the program you will get to visit so many other famous sites and experience lots of cultural activities!
