    Overview

    This summer, Quinnipiac is offering the perfect one-week program that gets your ready for a career in sports. Want to sit behind the anchor desk of SportsCenter? Create social media for the NFL or WNBA? Come up with advertising campaigns for your favorite team or athlete? Make the next great sports documentary? The opportunities to work in sports are limitless! This camp covers all of it and shines a light on the opportunities to put yourself on the sidelines or in the press box.

    Program Overview

    Calling all future ESPN anchors, sports writers, color commentators and sideline reporters! This summer, Quinnipiac is offering the perfect summer program for aspiring broadcasters or media production professionals with a passion for sports.

    Participants will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with professionals in a variety of fields – journalism, public relations, advertising, social media and more. They will get the chance to work in our state-of-the-art facilities to write, record, produce and edit stories.

    At the end of this program, you’ll walk away with:

    • A comprehensive understanding of the careers available in sports
    • Sports storytelling skills across video, audio and written platforms
    • A firm grip on different disciplines, including sports journalism, advertising/public relations, social media, film and television and more
    • Hands-on experience conducting interviews
    • Meaningful relationships with working professionals embedded in the sports industry

    • Program Costs: Residential (overnight): $1,680

    Partial financial support may be available for those who indicate the need for financial assistance in their online application. Financial support awards are based on a combination of financial need and academic merit.
