The Montana Blackfeet Reservation is a legendary VISIONS program that remains a life-changing memory for people who participated three decades ago. We are welcomed by local friends, elders, the Brave Dog Society, and other tribal members who work diligently to serve their community while also preserving traditions and bringing back the Blackfeet language. Projects range from physical labor to social service, with multiple worksites to choose from each day.
You’ll be regularly integrating new knowledge and affirming perspectives. Service work naturally blends with cultural engagement as we help set up teepees for ceremonies and are then invited to attend those very ceremonies. We attend the powwow, go horseback riding, hike, and connect with sacred Blackfeet ancestral lands. You’ll be part of a group of peers, leaders and community members who work together to achieve shared goals, and celebrate along the way.
VISIONS programs offer the opportunity for powerful personal transformation and radical community building, which together serve as a starting point on a life path of deep meaning and purpose.
