The Peabody Preparatory of The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore’s premier community school for the performing arts, offers summer programs in music and dance for students of all backgrounds and experience levels. With a legacy of excellence spanning over a century, Peabody provides high-level instruction, creative exploration, and performance opportunities led by expert faculty, both online and at our downtown Baltimore campus.
Peabody’s Summer Dance Intensive is a high-energy, full-day program designed for intermediate and advanced dancers ready to take their training to the next level. From ballet and contemporary to jazz, hip-hop, Bollywood, and voguing, students dive into a diverse range of styles while developing strength, artistry, and confidence.
Each day includes technique classes, conditioning, choreography, and creative workshops—all led by dynamic, professional faculty who know how to push dancers toward growth in a fun, supportive environment. Dancers build endurance, refine their technique, and explore their individual voice through movement.
Students can register for one, several, or all four weekly sessions. Each additional week comes with a $50 tuition discount, making it easy to customize the summer experience. With no placement audition required, dancers are grouped by experience level to ensure everyone is challenged and encouraged.
Held at Peabody’s downtown Baltimore campus, this is more than just a dance program—it’s a chance to connect, create, and grow in a community that celebrates your love of movement.
