The Peabody Preparatory of The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore’s premier community school for the performing arts, offers summer programs in music and dance for students of all backgrounds and experience levels. With a legacy of excellence spanning over a century, Peabody provides high-level instruction, creative exploration, and performance opportunities led by expert faculty, both online and at our downtown Baltimore campus.
Peabody Piano Week is an immersive summer intensive for advanced pianists ages 12 to 22 who are seeking conservatory-style training. Held at Peabody’s downtown Baltimore campus, this one-week program offers rigorous daily instruction, private lessons, masterclasses, studio classes, and performance opportunities, all led by esteemed Conservatory and Preparatory faculty.
Participants deepen their musicianship through one-on-one mentorship, theory and interpretation courses, structured practice time, and inspiring evening faculty recitals. Students perform in a culminating recital and experience life in a Peabody faculty studio, gaining insight into the demands and rewards of a professional music education.
Open to high school, college-bound, and college-age students preparing for auditions or seeking focused artistic growth, Peabody Piano Week offers both commuter and residential options. This is more than a summer program—it is a gateway to the next stage of your musical journey.
