    Experience campus life before college! Live and learn for two weeks this summer at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.

    Programs of Study: Creative Writing, Summer Science and Engineering, Women, Gender and Representation, Sustainable Futures, Theater, and College Readiness. Smith Precollege Programs are open to students entering 9-12th grade in the fall of 2026. Classes are Monday-Friday and not for credit. Smith College is among the top-rated liberal arts colleges in the US.

    Why Smith Precollege? 
    Our students gain a preview of college life. They experience academic exploration (without grades or tests!), campus navigation, community connection and a residential experience in one of New England's most vibrant college towns. Classes are Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm with a break for lunch, followed by a 1pm-4pm class block. After class, students can explore campus and downtown Northampton, take part in activities in our houses, or simply relax and build friendships with fellow peers. We offer a unique curriculum with courses not typically offered in high school.
