    Overview

Projects Abroad offers opportunities for young adults aged 16 and over to gain first-hand experience in Medicine and Healthcare in over 20 countries. As an intern, you’ll have an opportunity to work alongside medical professionals in various capacities: general medicine, nursing, dentistry, public health and more. If you're a high school student, you can join our High School Special program where you meet and work on a project alongside other teens from around the world.

A Medicine & Health Care Internship with Projects Abroad will help you get the real-world clinical experience you need to excel in a medical career.

This is what you can expect from one of our international medical internships:

    • Work in professional medical environments like hospitals and clinics
    • Shadow experienced doctors and nurses
    • Get a deeper understanding of global health care issues
    • Learn essential medical skills, like measuring blood pressure and blood sugar
    • Help deliver basic health care services during community outreaches

You can choose from a range of specialties for your internship program, such as:

    • General Medicine
    • Public Health
    • Nursing
    • Midwifery
    • Physical Therapy
    • Occupational Therapy
