    Physics Summer Programs

Teen summer physics programs offer all kinds of worlds to explore, such as astronomy and extraterrestrial observation; the science of flight and motion; robotics; thermodynamics; and even urban ecology. Participants learn the history of physics, beginning with Aristotle and later Newton, and the fundamental laws and concepts of subjects like thermodynamics, electromagnetism and relativity. These programs can last one week or several. Some are for college credit; some are for gaining an edge in high school physics classes. Others offer a chance to do research in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and learn from top experts. Students learn by lecture and in the laboratory. They participate in active learning, hands-on experiments and team projects. Many are held on colleges where students get to experience life on campus.
