Dance Summer Programs
High school and middle school students looking to hone their dance skills can find like minded peers and expert instructors by participating in a variety of summer dance programs. The programs often feature multidisciplinary performing arts education, offering a combination of dance, visual arts, theater, film, television, writing, photography and other creative subjects. Students of diverse experience and talent levels learn and participate in workshops under the guidance of attentive and professional staff. Hosted by performing arts organizations and colleges, these summer programs give students a chance to learn the theory and/or practice of many types of dance, such as ballet, ballroom, tap, jazz, modern and hip hop. Students can enroll in arts academies, study abroad and join summer conservatory sessions. Programs are offered as residential and commuter, ranging from a few days to several weeks.
