    The Greenbelt Conservancy mission is to promote, sustain, and enhance Staten Island's 2,800-acre Greenbelt through education, recreation, conservation and research. The Greenbelt works in partnership with New York City Parks.

    Volunteering in the Greenbelt is not only a great way to get involved in your community, it’s a great way to get to know one of New York City’s largest and most beautiful parks.  We are grateful to our dedicated volunteers whose efforts make a huge difference in our park.

    From trail maintenance and stewardship to trail races and special events, we rely on volunteers to keep the Greenbelt in great hiking shape.
