    Overview

Ellis partners with families to provide high quality early childhood education in a warm, nurturing environment.  A recognized leader in our field, we support children across the socio-economic spectrum, treasure diversity in all forms, and celebrate the joy of childhood.

Ongoing volunteer opportunities enable volunteers to get to know a certain group of children well, so we ask that you please take these commitments and relationships seriously. The following list provides examples of ways you may get involved:

    • Lend support in our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms
    • Help serve or supervise lunch and snack time
    • Read to a child or a group of children
    • Supervise or lead various activities (e.g. games, songs, arts and crafts projects, drawing, coloring, sand table, etc.)
    • Help supervise children at Ellis’ Children’s Park or on a walk nearby

All volunteers must be at least 16 years old and undergo a Background Check (BRC) and fingerprinting through the Department of Early Education and Care.
