The Children’s Cove Teen TASK Force is a high school group raising awareness about child abuse and advocating for Children’s Cove programs. Members meet throughout the year to learn about community issues and complete peer education projects. The program trains teen leaders in Cape Cod & the Islands to be trusted advocates, supporting those who may not seek help from adults while spreading awareness in schools and communities.
Children’s Cove provides compassionate, comprehensive, and collaborative response services at no cost to survivors of child abuse through its evidence-based programs, network of community partnerships, educational outreach and awareness efforts. Its multidisciplinary team works together to empower survivors, promote healthy outcomes, and help mitigate the stigma of child abuse.
High school students on Cape Cod who want to make a difference can join the Teen TASK Force. Eligible students must be rising sophomores, commit to monthly meetings from December to May, and participate in future activities with Teen TASK Force and Children’s Cove. This is a great opportunity to advocate for child abuse awareness in schools and communities. Connect with Children’s Cove to bring Teen TASK Force to your school or find out about current ambassadors!
