The Association to Benefit Children (ABC) was created to amplify the voices of defenseless children by combating the debilitating effects of poverty and championing the right of every child to a joyful and nurturing childhood.
Volunteer with ABC and choose from a variety of exciting programs like Youth Services, Study Buddies, Bunny’s Garden, and more! Volunteers should be high-school aged at minimum.
In early childhood education, volunteers assist teachers by engaging with young children—playing and supporting classroom activities. In Youth Services (including Afterschool and Camp Calvin), volunteers help create a fun, safe space where kids can build academic skills and confidence.
Study Buddies Connect is a virtual tutoring program offering weekly one-on-one sessions in math and English. Volunteers get training and support from staff to help students thrive.
In Bunny’s Garden, ABC’s urban community garden, volunteers help maintain the space, support planting and harvesting, and teach families about healthy eating and nature.
