    Overview

The American Red Cross of Massachusetts is part of the largest and most diverse service organization in the United States, serving the 7.029 million residents of the 351 cities and towns of Massachusetts.

The Red Cross provides food and shelter in emergencies, operates the largest food pantry in New England, teaches lifesaving skills, trains nurses’ aides and certified nursing assistants, serves members of the Armed Forces, and more.

Every single day, the American Red Cross helps people in emergencies. No matter your interests, skills or schedule, you can make a significant contribution to your community and help people in their moments of greatest need. Whether it’s assisting individuals and families displaced by disaster, providing emergency food supplies to fight hunger in the community, bolstering local blood supply, or providing care and comfort to service members and support to their families, our vital work is made possible by people like you. It is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
