    Overview

At the Cherry Tree Young Writers’ Conference Online, high school students experience the literary community that Washington College has to offer and discover the many opportunities available to undergraduates: internships and funding grants in publishing, writing, and editing; as well as writing for a host of student-run publications. Our motto is “Write Your Truth.” This workshop is designed to help you discover the stories that matter to you.

Washington College has made a name for itself as a thriving literary community where aspiring poets, novelists, journalists, and memoirists can study with prize-winning authors. Writing is often a solitary art, but it needn't be a lonely one. The Cherry Tree Young Writers’ Conference is a vibrant summer gathering that helps rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors build both their skills and their identity as writers.
