    Overview

The UD Edge pre-college program prepares rising high school juniors and seniors for a future as successful college students. By emphasizing academic excellence, practical skill building and student leadership, Edge offers you the challenge, independence and excitement of a learning experience that can only be found at a nationally top-ranking university.

The Pre-College Experience at the University of Delaware

For over 30 years, the University of Delaware's Summer College program has engaged talented high school sophomores and juniors across the country. The Edge pre-college program offers highly motivated students the exclusive opportunity to live and learn on one of the most engaging college campuses on the East Coast.

Edge students live together in a state-of-the-art residence hall located on UD's beautiful Newark campus while taking 1 or 2 college-level courses. Classes are taught by real UD faculty and are fully accredited, which means Edge students have the opportunity to earn up to 6 transferrable credits upon completion of the program.

Students also have the chance to participate in a college readiness workshop led by experienced college admissions professionals who will give insight into the college application process, including how to create a competitive college essay. On weekends, students enjoy various activities around campus and can participate in trips to various cultural and historical locations in Delaware and the surrounding region
