    Overview

Rooted Life Adventures offers a 6-week summer camp in Costa Rica for teen girls aged 14–17. The program combines adventure, cultural immersion, and therapeutic support. Participants engage in the adventure of a lifetime while also earning 30 volunteer hours and 30 hours of Spanish language immersion, and an ESL internship. The camp has a live- in therapeutic coach who does life skills workshops and 1-on-1 coaching. PLUS we live in a VILLA with a pool, waterfalls, and toucans!

Our Costa Rica program is the perfect blend of study abroad, summer camp, and slumber party. Designed for teen girls who have faced challenges—whether it's anxiety, depression, learning differences, bullying, or a life-interrupting experience like Covid—this camp gives them a chance to make up for lost experiences. In 6 weeks, participants take on the adventure of a lifetime with surf lessons, jumping in waterfalls, jungle hikes with sloths and monkeys, white-water rafting, flying trapeze, coffee and chocolate farms, and animal sanctuaries. After exciting days, they come home to karaoke parties and endless fun. Along the way, they engage in a meaningful internship, volunteer, experience cultural immersion, and learn essential life skills like cooking, cleaning, and shared responsibility—all while having a blast! Parents receive weekly photos, ensuring an enriching experience that builds resilience and confidence.
