    Overview

    Atlanta Junior Rowing Association (AJRA) offers learn to row summer sports camps for middle and high schoolers at various levels, from Learn-to-Row Camps for brand new rowers, Returning Rower camps for those with a basic foundation of rowing, as well as Technical and Racing Camps for returning high school rowers.

    Warm temperatures and no school make summer a great time to row. Atlanta Junior Rowing Association (AJRA) offers summer rowing camps for middle and high schoolers at various levels, from Learn-to-Row Camps for brand new rowers, Returning Rower camps for those with a basic foundation of rowing, as well as Technical and Racing Camps for returning high school rowers. Camps provide a great way for athletes to learn or develop rowing skills, within the structure of summer camp fun.

    PREREQUISITES: NONE! No experience needed

    Camps are co-ed for middle and high school students. Campers are grouped each session by age, size, and skill level. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear and bring a water bottle.

     

    2025 Summer Camp Dates:

    Session 1:  June 2 – June 6

    Session 2:  June 9 – June 13

    Session 3:  June 16 – June 20 (High Schoolers Only)

    Session 4:  July 7 – July 11

    Session 5:  July 14 – July 18

    Session 6:  July 21 – July 25

    Session 7:  July 28 – August 1

     

    Camp time: 9 am – 11:30 am

     

    During each camp, participants will learn the fundamentals of rowing. Additionally, each camper learns about the sport, equipment, terminology, and safety of moving boats on and off the water. We begin a basic workout program, and everyone has a chance to get out on the Chattahoochee River.
