    Overview

Welcome to Future City: Embark on an exciting journey to tackle real-world sea level rise by designing innovative floating cities for a sustainable tomorrow!

Using the power of the Engineering Design Process (EDP) and project management skills, you'll tackle real-world sustainability issues, including the challenges of sea level rise, and showcase your innovative solutions to create a resilient and sustainable future for all.

Campers will tour the Rolla downtown area (e.g., City Hall, RMU, Fire Department, Police Department, Hospital) and visit with key city planners and administrators.

The principles that guide this camp include:

    • All of us are stronger than any one of us
    • We provide access to all
    • This camp helps create a united voice
    • The engineering design process brings out the engineer in each of us
    • Mentors and role models are crucial to attract and retain people in engineering

    Activities include:

    • Learn how to design and program in VR to model a city of the future
