    Overview

Marist College's Environmental Science Summer Pre-College program is an excellent summer program designed for incoming high school juniors, and seniors eager to learn more about environmental science. In this two-week in-person summer class, students will explore environmental science, ecology, and sustainability and earn 3 college credits.

Students will have the chance to explore their own local ecology using app-based citizen-science, debate with their fellow students on the best energy sources of the future, and hear from experts in endangered species rescue, drinking water quality, and climate justice.

Each day will include a few hours of in-person classroom lectures and activities, followed by daily assignments in backyard conservation, group discussions, and personal research. We will cover a wide range of topics, including forest sustainability, ocean conservation, and environmental aspects of equity and inclusion.
