    Overview

    • The Girls’ Leadership Institute at Kent Place strives to empower girls to discover their full leadership potential. Participants expand their boundaries by conquering physical and mental challenges. They work closely with high school or college mentors and interact with adult women who share their personal and professional leadership paths. In a final presentation, each student showcases skills learned throughout the program.

At every level, our summer institutes help girls explore their leadership potential, strengthen their self-esteem, and turn plans into action, all through a broad range of hands-on activities. All of our programs are designed to build skills in several essential areas: communication, social and emotional intelligence, vision and goal setting, ethical decision-making, leadership styles, and cultural competence.

GLI Primary is for girls in Fall grade 4th & 5th grades.

    GLI Middle has two programs:

    • Institute I: Empowering the Leader Within for rising 6th graders
    • Institute II: Fierce Leadership in Action for rising seventh- and eighth-graders

GLI Upper for rising 9th and 10th graders
