    Overview

Our Galápagos expeditions feature endangered species monitoring, habitat restoration, citizen science, cultural exchange, and experiential learning—led by local experts in one of the world’s most iconic national parks. We promote environmental stewardship and community sustainability, inspiring participants to become agents of change in their own communities through hands-on learning and meaningful cross-cultural engagement.

A life-changing experience for high school and university student groups

Join Fundación ECOS on a 6- to 7-day educational expedition in the Galapagos Islands—an immersive journey that combines citizen science, hands-on conservation, cultural exchange, and experiential learning in one of the planet’s most iconic ecosystems. Tailored to meet each group’s academic profile, our programs align classroom learning with real-world challenges through field-based activities led by local experts. Students dive into the rich natural history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and live the experience of being an ecologist, an explorer, and an environmental ambassador.

As a Galapagos-based Ecuadorian nonprofit, our mission is to educate and empower individuals who are deeply committed to caring for our planet and contributing to the greater good.

This is more than a trip—it’s an invitation to discover, grow, and be inspired. Get ready to explore with purpose and return transformed.

Participate in hands-on projects supporting habitat restoration and monitoring iconic species in the Galapagos. You will also engage in citizen science initiatives by sampling microplastics on green sea turtle nesting beaches and identifying seabirds while kayaking. Discover fish species through snorkeling around unique islands, observe Galapagos penguins, sharks, and sea turtles, and contribute your observations to our marine megafauna monitoring. Explore community sustainability by visiting local agroecological farms and immerse yourself in local culture with dynamic activities alongside students from our Ecological Club. Learn through field journals, team projects, academic lessons, and reflective sessions with our instructors. Become an active part of Galapagos conservation — be an agent of change.

    Program Highlights
Support the monitoring efforts of our governmental partners and affiliated NGOs. Engage with the Galapagos local community by connecting with teenage members of our EcoClub.
