Experience college life in the Rocky Mountains. Colorado College’s Pre-College Block lets motivated students live on campus, explore Colorado Springs in summer, and study one course intensely through our Block Plan, where you take one for-credit college class at a time for total immersion. Classes are taught by CC faculty on entrepreneurship, human anatomy, environmental studies, and history.
Applicants should be rising high school juniors or seniors with a strong academic record and a clear interest in intensive, college-level work. We look for curiosity, motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where students focus on one course at a time.
Participants take a single, immersive class in subjects like environmental science, business, history, or human biology. Classes often include fieldwork, labs, guest speakers, and hands-on projects that lean into Colorado’s landscape and CC’s experiential approach.
Outside the classroom, students live in a residence hall with structured support, peer mentors, and a full calendar of optional activities. Past offerings have included outdoor excursions, museum visits, faculty-led discussions, leadership workshops, and sessions designed to strengthen study strategies and college applications.
The program is built for students who want an academically serious, highly engaging summer experience in a residential setting surrounded by the Rocky Mountains.
Dates: July 13-29, 2026
The total cost for Colorado College's Pre-College Block is $7,250, which includes tuition, housing, meals, programming, and fees.
