    Overview

    The Children's Acting Academy invites young performers to take part in its Summer Theater Camp. Professional guest artists lead classes in acting, singing, dancing, theater exercises, writing your own monologue, and more.

    This program includes exposure to professionals in the fields of: stage combat, voice overs, dancing, singing, sketch, improv, audition monologues, and on camera TV and film acting, as well as trips to see current Broadway Musicals and/or Drama.

    Campers will do exercises working on expressiveness, spontaneity, physical and speech warm- ups, scenes, commercials, poetry, monologues, sketch comedy. They will be introduced to a series of exercises focusing on Chekhov technique, Meisner technique and Lee Strasberg’s relaxation, sense memory/method technique. Every Thursday of Camp will be a recital.
