    Overview

    For 11 years Breakwater Expeditions has been enriching families and teens lives with custom outdoor programming. Our teen trips offer young people the opportunity to adventure into awe-inspiring landscapes few people travel. On our expeditions participants learn how they affect their peers, the environment, and their own self-growth. In the backcountry we canoe, sea kayak, backpack, canyoneer, and more. Each student learns new skills in the backcountry as well as how to work with others.

    We offer three trips in the summer for teens to choose from. Choose 1, 2, or 3 of the trips depending on how long you would like your summer fun to last. Each individual will have custom goals and intentions for their experience so that they can go back home with a greater skillset and confidence level. Our guides are professionally trained and are skilled in each of the outdoor activities we offer in addition to backgrounds in mental health, teens and children behavior, wilderness medicine, group management, and more. We value the individual needs of students as well as the value of team work and community support. The landscapes we adventure into are the catalyst for young people to have great awareness in the world they live in.

    • AMAZING experience for our 15 year old daughter. She came out of 10 months of therapeutic boarding school and Angie and team went over and above to work with her during through the trip.     • Breakwater Expeditions was such an amazing experience not just the group dynamics but how much I gained from the trip as a whole.
