The Junior Presidents Organization (JPO) is a global community for students ages 8–18, dedicated to developing leaders and innovators. Inspired by the White House’s recent initiative to engage youth in using AI for positive impact, JPO’s new program empowers students to create real-world AI solutions. Participants gain essential skills, confidence, and the opportunity to compete for national recognition in the Presidential AI Challenge.
At JPO, we know firsthand how young people thrive when challenged to dream big and innovate with purpose. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for your child to grow as a leader while contributing to the future of AI.
Students will work individually or in small, age-based teams weekly for three months to explore how AI can solve real-world community problems.
Guided by expert educators and coaches, participants will:
- Learn AI fundamentals and responsible technology use
- Develop proposals or prototypes addressing real community challenges
- Collaborate with peers while building leadership and storytelling skills
- Polish and pitch their ideas in a final showcase
- Potentially submit their projects to the Presidential AI Challenge, earning opportunities for state, regional, and national recognition—and the chance to be honored at the White House
