    School of Nursing - K Building- HSC Campus 

    The University of Louisville School of Nursing is an essential partner of a research intensive academic health science center in a nationally recognized University serving a metropolitan community.

    The School of Nursing is a community in which faculty, staff and students collaborate to promote excellence in the profession of nursing. This is accomplished through research and scholarship that inform undergraduate and graduate education, support evidence-based practice and foster advances in nursing science.

    Students are prepared to demonstrate excellence in nursing science, practice and leadership in a variety of settings for the benefit of clients across the lifespan and to meet the evolving health care needs of society.

    School of Public Health and Information Sciences - HSC Campus

    The School of Public Health & Information Sciences (SPHIS) is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and is situated in the university's Health Sciences Center in downtown Louisville's medical complex. The school aims to build a diverse community that is both nurturing and challenging with a philosophy of diversity based on the respect for one another and recognition that each person brings unique attributes, talents, and contributions to the school. The School of Public Health contributes to vital research, training, and professional development to address global public health challenges worldwide. From conducting scientific research to educating about health, people in the field of public health work to assure the conditions in which people can be healthy. As a student in our school, you will be a front-line participant in the evolution of public health, learning both the foundations of public health theory and practice and new ways to think about and manage health information in the interconnected world of today and tomorrow.

    UofL SPHIS offers BS, BA in Public Health, pre-health studies, social justice & health equity, and an accelerated masters’ program. Public Health major prepare students for advanced degrees in public health, law, and clinical health professions (i.e., PA, PT, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, and Dentistry).These degrees are perfect for students interested in pursuing careers in health promotion, health care administration, health research, health equity and much more!
