Summer travel and cultural immersion programs for middle school and high school students offer a new perspective on other parts of the world or the United States. They offer a chance to learn a foreign language, live with people in different countries, and/or to do community service. Travel programs are a structured way to learn skills such as independence and resilience that help in college. We have listings for summer travel programs all over the world: the United States and Canada; Latin and Central America; Australia and New Zealand; Asia; Europe and the United Kingdom; Africa; and the Middle East. Students can choose summer adventure programs that feature biking, rock climbing or hiking, or ones that focus on skills such as cooking, language and other academics, or volunteer work. Some offer a homestay experience which means students live with a local family during their stay.
