Mohawk is all about singing, laughing, learning, having fun and making friends. It's infectious! It's what we do best. Our amazing summer staff helps your daughter achieve her fullest potential. We've been helping girls grow since 1920.
On the first Sunday evening of each session girls select four elective activities for the week. These activities are instructional in nature and are held for a period of approximately an hour long each, Monday through Friday. Girls choose new elective activities each week.
During the afternoon Optional Recreation period (commonly called Optional Rec), girls can pursue any of the dozen activities offered daily and may switch activities at their leisure. Girls often use this time to hang out at the waterfront, make friendship bracelets by the brook or visit activities they hadn't tried before. Evenings are spent in a variety of activities either with the Cabin group, the Unit group, or the entire camp. Favorite evening activities include the Talent Show, the Indian Ceremony, a dance with a nearby boy's camp (for girls 11 years old and older), campfires, and camping out.
