Students are grouped by age and ability prior to and on the first day of camp. Instructors emphasize different strokes daily and work work on stroke fundamentals, footwork, singles and doubles strategy, and a variety of games that will keep kids learning and excited to play and improve.
Fast-paced drills tailored to specific ability ages and ability levels keep students engaged and active. Our youngest campers use special tennis balls to make the game easier. Snack breaks are taken mid-morning. All-day campers break for lunch mid-day. About 20 percent of the students stay all day. Others come morning or afternoons only. Although our youngest campers typically come in the morning, there are a variety of ages in each group. Afternoons tend to be less crowded and are the best time for campers to hone skills they practiced in the morning session and play matches.
Campers should bring a racquet, athletic clothing, a water bottle, a snack, and, for all-day students, a lunch.
