Overview

Summer Springboard provides pre-college programs on the campuses of UC Berkeley, Yale, and Georgetown. Our mission is to help students increase their self-awareness so they can make decisions about college selection, academic majors, and careers that reflect their personal vision for success.

About Summer Springboard

The journey to success in career and happiness in life is deeply personal. We believe goals can best be realized when students have a true sense of what makes them unique. At Summer Springboard we give college-bound teens professional insight, self-awareness, and the confidence needed for success in college and beyond.

Career and Academic Exploration:

We provide hands-on learning with our project-based learning methodology. Beyond theory, there will be site visits and guest speakers for students to hear firsthand from experts in their field.

The True You:

Through self-assessments, campus visits, guided reflection and college admissions coaching, students become empowered to identify their individual vision of academic success and happiness.

College Experience:

Spend two weeks experiencing life on a college campus. While there’s a full schedule of activities, there is time for students to have fun, make new friends, and learn to live like a college student.

I was very impressed from the application time (with helpful phone calls when trying to understand the program) until final day with the number of activities and level of detail he planners put into this program. It was a safe, supervised environment at all times and I can be a helicopter mom! It was an excellent pre-college initiation with a great balance of educational and fun activities. My son loved it so much he’d like to help them with future endeavors! My son is a college- hopefully Ivy League-bound sophomore who completed the medical field program this summer, before his sophomore year. Springboard was also very accommodating to us since he had conflicting dates with another program of study at Stanford. He had much fun and learned about expectations in his next few years of college applications. He also confirmed his career choice here.

My daughter attended the medical track of the Georgetown program this summer, and I was very pleased with the campus environment, the program curriculum and overall experience the program gave my child. The instructors inspired my daughter and encouraged her during every activity - she came home with confidence and inspiration, seeming to feel even better about the medical field as her future course of study. My husband and I felt very comfortable with the program supervisors and environment, and my daughter confirmed that the team members were visible, engaged and approachable throughout the two weeks. We also liked the end result of the “True You” sessions, since it gave her a great sense of her own unique talents and communication style, which she can leverage in school and use to differentiate herself when applying to colleges.

There is no supervision at this camp. Apparently they assume once they put kids on a college campus, they will follow the rules?? They don't. And it's dangerous. There is limited communication from the camp. From the second we arrived, they seemed disinterested and extremely rude. An alarm was sounding in my sons dorm and no one was aware why it was alarming and what the threat level was?? Disgraceful. This camp is a small fortune to boot. Please, don't risk the safety of your child by choosing this camp. There are thousands to choose from...this is putting your child at risk.
