Summer of Art is a four-week college preparation program for art & design. The program is designed to develop your artistic and creative skills. Serious young artists seeking to strengthen and enhance their art and design skills as well as students with limited art training are invited to participate.

Get a preview of the college experience and earn college credit! Choose from an array of specialization courses and foundation drawing courses.
Specialization Courses include Architecture/Landscapes/Interiors, Character Development and Design, Digital Media: 2D Animation, Digital Media: 3D Animation, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Urban Art, Product and Toy Design, and Storytelling and Animatics. Drawing Studio Courses include Beginning Drawing, Intermediate Drawing, Life Drawing, and Drawing from the Costume Model (required for fashion specialization).
Small classes ensure personalized, in-depth learning. Rigorous course work includes hands-on studio courses and labs in your chosen Specialization Course (three days per week) and/or a Foundation Studio Course (two days per week). Classes meet 9:00am - 4:20pm, Monday through Friday. (Some outside work is required.) 2 units of college credit for Specialization Courses and 1 unit of college credit for Foundation Studio Courses are awarded to eligible students upon successful completion of the program.
