Last year’s participants loved the ropes course, theme park trip and professional sports outing; this year will be no different! Participants will also have some scheduled downtime to relax and socialize.
Participants will be introduced to Theme-Based Curriculum, connecting daily themes to a variety of activities and settings, utilizing a combination of teaching methods in the process. It focuses on executive functioning, sensory integration, and social skills. Person-Centered Plans will be developed using PowerPoint and a variety of multimedia. Additional elements will include introduction to the college experience, self-advocacy skills, health and wellness sessions, cooking instruction and interpersonal skills.
