Every summer, Smith College welcomes more than 250 young women in high school who want to pursue their academic interests in and outside of the classroom, strengthen their college applications, and meet other motivated, ambitious college-bound women from all over the world.
Smith's exciting precollege programs are for young women in high school who want to pursue their academic interests in and out of the classroom, strengthen their college applications and meet other motivated and ambitious college-bound young women. In addition to academic enrichment and exploration, Smith's precollege programs are also about having fun. Participants will make new friends, explore the campus and lively town of Northampton, Massachusetts, and enjoy nightly activities in their houses.
Since Smith's precollege summer programs are residential, students get the exciting opportunity to live in one of Smith's unique campus houses. Smith's residential environment enhances and enriches the academic programs. Students will also have access to the dining hall, superb athletic facilities, an art museum, a botanic garden and greenhouse, and libraries.
*Young women who will be in high school (grades 9, 10, 11, and 12) in fall 2019 are eligible to apply for the summer 2019 program.
Cost and Session Information
SUMMER 2019 DATES - JULY 7 - August 3, 2019
$50 application fee is due at time of submission. The application fee is $100 after May 1.
2019 Program Tuition
Residential One Week Program - $1,650 (includes $330 nonrefundable deposit)
Day Student One Week Program - $850 (includes $170 nonrefundable deposit)
Two Week Programs - $3,300 (includes $660 nonrefundable deposit)
Four Week Program - $6,380 (includes $1,275 nonrefundable deposit)
Financial payments for all programs is due by May 15. If you are accepted into the program after May 15, full payment is due immediately. Program Payments are nonrefundable after May 15.
