Lovewell Instititute: Teen Workshop Columbus, Ohio (in partnership with Short North Stage.)
Join us for the second annual Lovewell workshop in Columbus, Ohio (in partnership with Short North Stage).
WHO: Entering high school- Exiting high school
WHEN: The workshop begins on a Monday and runs Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm for the first week. The second and final week, the workshop hours are 9am-9pm with additional hours on the performance weekend. The conclusion of the workshop will take place on a Sunday with closing ceremonies.
WHAT: Collaborate, conceive, write, compose, choreograph, design and perform an original piece of theatre with music while working with professional artists and fellow students from around the country.
WHO: 20 students will join a professional staff and share their collective stories from all walks of life. In doing so, one, solid, unified piece of theatre is born. In order to make this happen, we need creative people of all types. This experience is about the creative process, and while the performance is an enormous part of our workshop, the focus is on the weeks of creation.
