When campers from around the world practice and perform together under the instruction of some of the finest orchestra instructors in the country, amazing things can happen. The two-week String Orchestra Camp immerses campers and works to develop their technical skills and musicianship.
A string campers musical day begins at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm. Each day is divided into eight class periods and includes an hour break for lunch. Students will also play in small chamber ensembles and attend daily sectional and master classes, music theory class, and supervised practice. Campers put down their instruments at 5:00pm, but the day isnt over yet! Each evening, students can participate in recreational activities such as bowling, swimming, movie nights, ice cream socials, game nights and more.
