We believe that you need theology — the study of God and God’s relationship with the world — as one of the resources to draw upon as you explore your place in the world. Emory YTI IMPACT hosts summer programs for high school students with the goal of empowering youth with critical skills usually reserved for adults.
There are two ways high school students can engage with Emory YTI Impact in the summer:
YTI Summer Academy: This is a 2-week residential program on the campus of Emory University for rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders. For over a quarter of a century, this program has sought to provide broad and diverse theological skills to young people with a focus on what we can learn by living in a diverse intentional community.
Journeys of Faith & Reconciliation: Belfast: This 10-day travel seminar to Belfast explores “the Troubles” in Northern Ireland and how the people of Belfast have worked for peace and reconciliation. This seminar is framed in terms of how we might apply the lessons of Belfast to the conflicts we are experiencing in the US today. Open to high school students and graduates 18+.
