Stage Design Studio at Emerson College offers rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors an opportunity to explore the elements of theater design. During the program, Stage Design Studio students concentrate on scenic, lighting and costume design; drafting; rendering and model building; mask design and construction; and portfolio preparation. This program is designed for students who want intensive training in the elements of theatrical design, have respect for the design process, and understand how to manage their time and complete assignments both in and out of the classroom. Students entering grades 11 and 12 in the 2018-2019 school year are welcome to apply to the Stage Design Program.

Design/Technology for Stage & Screen Showcase: August 9, 2019
Move-out day (for on-campus students): August 11, 2019 – by noon
Design/Technology for Stage & Screen is offered as a noncredit program.
Program Costs per student:
Design & Technology for Stage & Screen Tuition: $3395
Residential Room and Board Fee: $3080
Non-refundable program application fee: $60
Lunch, Monday through Friday is included in the tuition cost. The residential option includes room, linens, breakfast and dinner on weekdays, and brunch and dinner on weekends.
Please note: A non-refundable $500 deposit is required upon a student's acceptance of admission into the program. The deposit is to hold the student's seat in the program, and the amount will be applied towards payment of the total bill for the program. If the student later decides they will not attend the program, the $500 deposit is not refundable.
