Docs In Progress: Filmmaking

Overview

ince 2010, Docs In Progress has offered a two-week summer daycamp experience where budding filmmakers produce a short documentary film in downtown Silver Spring. A needs-based scholarship is available.

In this two-week daycamp, campers work in small teams to plan, shoot, and edit a short documentary video filmed in and around downtown Silver Spring, Maryland. Campers will be provided access to video cameras and editing equipment. Final projects will be shown in a mini-festival for family and friends, uploaded to YouTube, and may also be featured at the Community Stories Film Festival to be held in Fall 2014 and broadcast on Montgomery Community Media.

Cost and Session Information

July 5-15, 2016 (Ages 12-15): Summer Documentary Filmmaking Camp (2 week day camp)

July 18-29 (Ages 15-18): Summer Documentary Filmmaking Workshop (2 week daytime workshop)
