Colorado State University: SciTrek Program for Future Scientists
Overview
Colorado State University is offering a wide range of academic programs designed for high school students.
Students participating in SciTrek will tackle real world problems from a scientific standpoint. In the past, topics have included the mountain pine beetle infestation, invasive weeds, groundwater quality and quantity, dendrochronology, geographic mapping, etc. Students will receive personal mentoring from first-class teachers, staff and expert guest presenters. Three of the five mornings will be spent entirely in an outdoor field setting and will include a moderate amount of hiking.
