Camp Watitoh, high in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, is a spirited traditional coed overnight summer camp for children, ages 7-16, who like to take part in an active program of land and water sports, creative and performing arts and outdoor hiking and camping.
At Camp Watitoh, there are separate campus areas for boys and girls, each guided and supervised by a dedicated counselor staff. Many of our staff have been at the camp for continual summers. Head Counselors and leadership staff are teachers and coaches, and are able to offer our campers an inspired skills program. All counselors are selected for their qualities of high personal example, experience working with children, and enthusiasm for the outdoors and camp life.
Watitoh's daily program offers every aspect of camp activity, with equal emphasis on land and water sports. The daily program is structured, but also includes a one-hour elective period in the early afternoon, where each camper can choose his or her preferred activity of the week. Every evening, the camp joins together for a program that alternates nightly between full camp Special Events, shows, movies, campfires, spectator programs, and game nights. These exciting activities are a major source of the spirit of camp life. Watitoh campers also have all the advantages of the Berkshire area cultural attractions in their trip program. According to their age and interest, they attend Tanglewood concerts, the dance performances at Jacob's Pillow, Williamstown, The Playhouses, Stockbridge, and all the nearby recreational sites of interest.
