Camp JORI is a co-ed Jewish overnight and day camp that provides amazing summer experiences for children in grades K-10. Our comprehensive program of sports, arts, adventure and special activities is enhanced by our Jewish and Israeli culture and our strong sense of “TACEO” – Taking Care of Each Other. Summer days here are definitely action-packed!
Camp JORI's pristine setting includes playing fields, a theater, a recreation hall, two pools, and a 500 seat dining room overlooking 600 feet of waterfront on Wordens Pond.
Camp JORI's mission is to provide a high quality overnight Jewish Camping experience that is available to all families in a safe and supportive setting so that each JORI camper will develop life-long connections with the Jewish community.
Teen Programs
Camp JORI, through BBYO, offers 10th grade campers who have completed the LIT program a month long experience in Israel. Camp JORI’s Israel Journey is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to connect with the history, people, and natural beauty of Israel. The program is also the culmination of our Israel education programming at camp. Participants will then return to JORI as Counselors in Training (CITs) for the last two weeks of the summer at camp to continue their training to be future counselors.
As an alternative, incoming 11th graders can apply to be junior counselors. They will go through an application process including an interview. If hired they will be a first year staff including living in the bunks, time off and learning the ins and outs of what it means to be a counselor at Camp JORI. Junior Counselors will receive a stipend.
