Apprentice Hunter

Overview

Our Apprentice Hunter program is designed to provide in-depth, hands-on training and a chance to learn hunting tactics for whitetail deer, turkey, upland birds, and other game.

After practicing their skills on the rifle and shotgun ranges, our Campers depart for Silverton Sporting Ranch for a guided pheasant hunt, where they will learn proper field dressing and game care, followed by a hunters feast after the hunt. Other activities will include swimming, canoeing and kayaking, ropes course, hiking, and many other camp offerings. Hunter Apprentice is led by certified 4H Shooting Sports instructors.
